Role overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for coding and processing invoices, approval requests, filing duties, preparing payment batches, and more.
A day in the life...
Manage the full AP invoice lifecycle for the US, Canada, and potentially Czech operations
Process invoices - data entry, GL coding, and system management in the ZIP invoice platform
Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve discrepancies
Verify supporting documentation meets compliance standards
Coordinate approval workflows and prepare payment batches to maintain strong vendor relationships
Handle complete vendor onboarding, maintain vendor master data, and resolve vendor inquiries
Review and validate employee travel expenses, ensuring policy compliance and proper coding
Maintain organized filing systems and reconcile accounts payable in the financial system
Review and improve AP processes to enhance efficiency
Collaborate with internal teams on special accounting projects and cross-functional initiatives
What we are looking for...
2 years of related AP experience and general accounting knowledge
Bachelor's or associate degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline
Experience with AP (Accounts Payable) software is required; familiarity with ZIP is preferred
Familiarity with expense management platforms (Navan, etc.) is helpful but not essential
Proficient data entry skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas)
Familiarity with US GAAP accounting standards
