Our Mission and Opportunity

Early education is one of the most important determinants of childhood outcomes, a critical support for working families, and a $175B market that remains underserved by modern technology. Brightwheel is the largest, fastest growing, and most loved platform in early ed, trusted by millions of educators and families every day. We are a three-time Cloud 100 company, backed by top investors including Addition, Bessemer, Emerson Collective, Lowercase Capital, Notable Capital, and Mark Cuban.

Our Team

Our team is passionate, talented, and customer-focused. We embody our Leadership Principles in our work and culture. We are a distributed team with remote employees across every US time zone, as well as select offices in the US and internationally.

Who You Are

You are a strategic and execution-oriented recruiter who takes full ownership of hiring outcomes. You operate with urgency and sound judgment, balancing speed with a consistently high bar for talent. You think critically about how to approach each search, using data and insights to guide decisions while staying adaptable in a fast-paced environment. You build trust quickly with stakeholders and aren’t afraid to challenge when needed. You influence hiring decisions with clarity and conviction, always in service of raising the quality of talent. You are deeply curious about how AI can transform recruiting. You don’t just use AI tools—you rethink workflows, experiment with new approaches, and push toward more scalable, AI-native ways of working. You’re excited to help others do the same.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for complex, high-impact, and leadership roles across the business

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, align on success profiles, and develop targeted, data-driven hiring strategies

  • Design and run structured, equitable, and high-signal interview processes that enable strong, consistent hiring decisions

  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders—building trust, providing clear recommendations, and challenging when needed to maintain a high bar

  • Analyze recruiting data to assess pipeline health, identify gaps, and continuously refine strategies

  • Build and implement AI-driven recruiting workflows across sourcing, screening, and operations to improve speed, quality, and scalability

  • Define and operationalize how we assess AI fluency in candidates, especially for leadership and high-impact roles

  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting systems, tools, and processes, and lead implementation of scalable solutions

  • Mentor and support other recruiters, sharing best practices and helping elevate team performance and consistency

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including ownership of complex or leadership-level searches

  • Demonstrated success delivering high-quality hires in fast-paced, high-growth environments

  • Experience partnering closely with hiring managers and influencing hiring decisions at a senior level

  • Strong track record of using data to inform recruiting strategies and improve outcomes

  • Experience designing structured interview processes and assessing candidates with depth and rigor

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to design and operationalize AI-native recruiting workflows (e.g., rethinking sourcing, screening, and coordination through AI), with a track record of materially improving efficiency, quality, or scale
