The Role
As a software engineer working on Managed HCP services like HCP Consul and HCP Vault, you will support the development, operation, and continual improvement of HashiCorp’s managed cloud offerings. With 2-4 years of experience in software engineering and cloud computing, you will assist in ensuring our managed services are reliable, scalable, and secure, contributing to the satisfaction of our global customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and refining the architecture of HCP Consul and HCP Vault to uphold best practices in cloud service delivery.
- Support the implementation of monitoring and alerting frameworks to ensure high availability and performance of our managed services.
- Collaborate with product teams, platform teams, and security to align development efforts, improve product integrations, and enhance the user experience.
- Help gather and respond to feedback from customers and support teams to drive product improvements, focusing on operational efficiency and service usability.
- Engage with the latest cloud technologies and practices, contributing to projects that enhance our managed service offerings.
Ideal Candidate
- 2-4 years of software engineering experience, preferably with a focus on cloud services and infrastructure.
- Knowledgeable in Go, with familiarity in other programming languages (Python, Ruby) considered beneficial.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and some exposure to infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Capability in supporting the development and management of production-grade cloud services, with an understanding of operational reliability and security practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
- Keen interest in operational process improvement and delivering customer-centric solutions. #LI-Hybrid
