As an ISV Engineering Specialist within IBM India Systems Development Lab (ISDL), you will serve as a key technical expert responsible with the following role focuses on designing and developing automated build and deployment solutions for SAP enterprise software on IBM Cloud, including IBM Power Virtual Server and Intel VPC. The work involves shaping IBM’s SAP IaaS and RISE Hyperscaler offerings by leveraging modern automation technologies such as Red Hat Ansible and HashiCorp Terraform. You will collaborate closely with a team of SAP, IBM Power, and Intel experts, product managers, and architects to enhance SAP enablement on IBM Cloud, while engaging directly with SAP teams in Germany. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in systems programming, scripting, automation tools, and deep understanding of Unix and operating system internals

Your role and responsibilities

4-8 years of experience with the following skills:

• Sound knowledge of Linux/ Unix environment / system Programming / OS Internals
• C programming, Scripting Tools (sed, awk) & Languages (Shell, Perl, Python, Ansible, Terraform etc.,)
• Unix/Any OS flavour – Kernel concepts and Internals (Process Management, Memory Management, Scheduling, Networking, Security etc.)
• AI hands-on/experience is an added advantage.
• Excellent debugging & problem-solving skills
• Exposure to VM deployment, Installation, and maintenance.
• Candidates with any Unix testing experience is preferred
• Ability to handle the testing and debugging tasks independently
• Good time management & deliver work on tight schedule
• Strong team player with good communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills
• Added advantage: Knowledge of SAP products like S/4HANA, SAP HANA.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years of experience, candidate will be responsible for automation of various PowerVS requirement for SAP using ansible/python and other programming languages. engineering, preferably with IBM Power Systems.

• Design and develop a build and deployments automation solution for SAP enterprise software on IBM Cloud including IBM Power Virtual Server (PowerVS) and Intel VPC.
• We are looking for an developer who is interested to shape our SAP IaaS and RISE Hyperscaler offering with build- and deployment-automation. Especially on new technologies like SAP with RedHat to leverage the flexibility and automation using Red Hat Ansible and Hashi Corp’s Terraform.
• You will be part of a team of SAP and IBM Power & Intel experts / PMs and Architects to work with our Product Managers on improving our SAP enablement in the IBM Cloud.
• We are in close contact with SAP in Sankt Leon-Rot and Walldorf Germany where you can exchange your knowledge an increase your experience
