We are looking for a Driver Lead to join our team in New Jersey. This role oversees driver and vehicle readiness, supports route planning and fleet logistics, and steps in as a backup driver when needed — ensuring every shift runs safely, accurately, and on time.

What your shift will look like:
- Ensure all drivers complete the pre-shift safety checklist and verify vehicles are in safe, working condition before departure
- Proactively monitor fleet maintenance needs, report vehicle issues, and coordinate routine service to minimize downtime
- Confirm all assets — including vehicles, fuel cards, and phones — are signed out before departure and signed back in at the end of shift
- Oversee van readiness, ensuring each vehicle is staged correctly for loadout with all required supplies
- Work alongside warehouse employees to verify delivery audits are completed and the correct products are loaded onto the correct routes
- Ensure drivers sign off on their manifest and key audit before departure, and follow the customer's delivery instructions on every stop
- Equip drivers with the tools and resources needed for a safe, successful shift — route sheets, safety equipment, and communication devices
- Serve as a backup driver when covering callouts to maintain route coverage and delivery standards
- Monitor delivery performance throughout the shift, ensuring productivity metrics are hit
- Investigate behind-schedule routes in real time and escalate underperformance, exceptions, and delays to the AGM
- Review telematics to validate traffic situations and other reported delays
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean driving record / satisfactory MVR check required
- 1+ year of experience safely driving a delivery vehicle (e.g., 26' box truck) in city environments
- No CDL required
- Experience navigating New Jersey and New York is preferred
- Prior experience in last-mile delivery, logistics, or fleet operations is preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Able to lift and handle delivery supplies as needed
- Strong customer service skills and ability to follow customer delivery instructions
