We’re looking for a Tax Analyst with expertise in U.S. sales and use taxes and accounting to join our growing Finance team at StockX. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of supporting workpapers and the monthly review of sales & use tax compliance, sales and use tax account reconciliation, and assistance with the record keeping of all state sales tax filings for the organization. This role reports to the Manager, Sales/Use Tax.
What you'll do
- Assisting the tax manager with the preparation of supporting workpapers and submission of indirect tax filings for the United States leveraging the assistance of internal and external resources.
- Monitoring state and local tax legislation for changes relevant to StockX, researching and driving the implementation of any relevant changes.
- Assisting the tax manager with the quarterly and annual financial statement processes including account reconciliations.
- Research and analysis of domestic indirect tax implications for the new business initiatives; outlining sales tax requirements and recommendations to mitigate tax exposure, including cross team coordination for implementation assistance as needed.
- Assisting the tax manager with external and internal audit examinations and ad-hoc requests from business partners.
About you
- 4+ years of relevant tax experience in a corporate environment, public accounting experience a plus
- Good understanding of multi-state sales and use tax regulations.
- Experience with tax account reconciliations.
- A degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent license preferred
- You can thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to change with a desire to learn, and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Detail-oriented individual who takes ownership of projects and possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Pursuant to the various pay transparency laws/acts, the base salary range is $80,000 to $90,000 plus opportunities for benefits (e.g., medical, dental), equity and discretionary bonuses. Compensation is dependent on geography and may vary.
