Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience creating, managing and evolving design systems for digital products.
  • Strong visual design skills with a proven ability to create pixel-perfect UI components.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma..
  • A solid understanding of design guidelines and best practices for both mobile and desktop platforms.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices (WCAG).
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate design decisions and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in project management and leadership, with the ability to drive projects forward and lead teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of atomic design principles and building component libraries.
  • Experience with version control and handoff tools like Zeplin, Abstract or Jira.
  • Familiarity with prototyping tools like InVision, Framer, or Principle.
  • Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to enhance collaboration with engineers.

The Role

As our Design System Designer, you'll be the architect of a cohesive visual language that scales across Stori’s growing product ecosystem and enables a unified user experience across every screen. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, champion best practices and drive adoption of the design system. Your work will directly shape the user experience for millions, ensuring consistency, usability, and delight.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Design System Creation: Develop and oversee the creation, management, and evolution of Stori’s Design System, including reusable components, patterns, and guidelines. Ensure it supports both current needs and future scalability across multiple products.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product designers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of the design system. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to maintain consistency and resolve any integration challenges.
  • Ensure High-Quality Standards: Create visually stunning and scalable UI components that reflect Stori’s brand identity while meeting accessibility standards. Regularly audit and update the Design System to ensure it continues to meet the highest quality and usability benchmarks.
  • Drive System Adoption: Advocate for the Design System’s adoption across the company by training and mentoring designers and developers on its use. Act as a champion for the system to ensure it is widely understood and effectively applied.
  • Stay Current and Innovate: Continuously research and integrate the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to keep the design system cutting-edge. Encourage the team to adopt new techniques that enhance both efficiency and creativity.
