The Role

As our Product Designer focused on the Onboarding squad, you’ll be the design owner of multi-product onboarding experiences for newly acquired customers. These flows are critical to creating trust and conversion in the first minutes of a customer’s journey with Stori.

You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, analysts, and other designers. You'll work independently on day-to-day design execution while also contributing to our design system and helping drive quality and consistency at scale. You are comfortable working with analytics to inform decisions and validate impact, ensuring your design solutions are both user-centered and data-driven.

This is the ideal role for you if you love:

Craft at Scale: You care deeply about both interaction and visual design. You enjoy creating elegant, user-centered flows that feel effortless — and look great.

Driving Outcomes: You’re energized by real business problems and thrive on shipping designs that move the needle for both the user and the business.

Solving for Trust: You have strong instincts for designing secure, intuitive onboarding and know how to build confidence with users from the first interaction.

Collaboration: You value working cross-functionally, are easy to partner with, and elevate the thinking of those around you.

Systems Thinking: You’re excited by the challenge of designing patterns and components that work across multiple products. You actively contribute to the design system and think ahead about how today’s decisions will scale tomorrow.

Requirements
  • A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design work that balances UX, UI, and strategy.

  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles.

  • Fluency with Figma and experience working within design systems.

  • Experience working in cross-functional product squads.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and present work effectively to stakeholders.

  • Comfortable balancing execution with long-term vision and system thinking.

  • Experience in fast-paced, iterative environments.

  • Demonstrated experience using analytics and customer insights to inform design decisions and validate outcomes.

In your application, please include:
  • A portfolio highlighting your experience designing for onboarding or financial flows, with examples of how your work has impacted user and business outcomes.

  • A brief note explaining your interest in Stori, this role, and how you approach product design.

What You’ll Own
  • Design onboarding: Lead the end-to-end design of new user flows across multiple product lines.

  • Drive onboarding metrics: Influence activation, conversion, cross-sell, and completion metrics through user-centered design.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams: Work closely with PMs, engineers, and analysts to align on goals, share progress, and launch effectively.

  • Champion design consistency: Use and expand upon Stori’s design system to support a more seamless and cohesive user experience in Home and Onboarding. Your contributions will strengthen the patterns and components that make these critical entry points feel familiar, intuitive, and trustworthy.

  • Apply research: Conduct research and usability testing to ensure the team is solving the right problems.
