Ibotta is seeking an Associate UX Researcher to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. The UX Research (UXR) department plays a critical role in assisting the organization with optimizing product launches, prioritizing resources, and identifying whitespace opportunities. The UXR team embraces an ‘all-in’ team-based mentality, advocacy for the user/consumer, and a focus on personal growth / development. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a strong research team, product designers, and product managers to develop your craft as a professional researcher.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:

  • Use a mix of qualitative and quantitative methodologies to understand user behaviors & attitudes, our competitors, and the importance of internal business initiatives

  • Partner with designers in the iterative design process (e.g. usability testing, click testing, information architecture card sorting & tree tests, etc.)

  • Post-launch optimization and continuous discovery efforts (e.g. A/B & multivariate testing, UMUX and other user sentiment surveys, etc.)

  • Share your work - and advocate for its ramifications - cross-functionally with other team members

  • Be comfortable speaking about UXR and working with engineering, business development, and marketing partners

  • Use industry standard tools to accomplish the above: research & testing SAAS platforms (e.g. UserTesting, Dscout etc.), whiteboarding tools (e.g. Miro, etc.), survey tools (Quantilope), Google Suite & MS Office

  • Work with your manager on priorities, timelines, and the strategic direction of your projects

  • Geek out with research team members about best practices, new tools, and unexpected insights

What we are looking for:

  • 1-2 years experience in UX Research or related analytical field

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent UX Research experience

  • Curiosity - both in the work to be done and in growing your skills as a UXR

  • Ability to thrive in an environment of ambiguity as we grow the UXR practice

  • An online portfolio of projects you’ve worked on

Additional Details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, snacks, and occasional meals.

  • Base compensation range: $71,000 - $92,000. Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
